ponmudi is tourist destination in sourthern kerala . it is 70 km away from trivandrum city . it recently well know after the land scandal in which ISRO and Govt of kerala and a private estsate owner are invovled related to starting engg college of ISRO. i have yesterday visited ponmudi. ponmudi is having scenic beauty. it is good place for a pinic.... but the road to ponmudi at certain part are at its worst stage and require special care in driving and condition of the vehicle.... the areas is ecological important. there is no hotel available there. KTDC is having a beer parlour there but no hotel for normal custmer to have snacks....Toursist rush to place is sufficeintly high. KSRTC also plying bus to place frequently but narrow road and damaged road are major hinderance.... any way Ponmudi is wonderful in its scenic beauty
