My scrible - week 8&9
As I write this post two months of 2010 have passed . Looking back for a moment it seems like the months are passing by in flash. It has been really a Frustrating month for me personally. Nothing much has happened. Hope the fortune changes in the Coming months. Last week I was able to make to two trip. One Trip was to 115th Maramon convention held at banks of Pamba Rivers near Maramon in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. I was lucky to hear a good Gospel from the preacher about the Need for Unity among Christians. That trip was a pretty good one except the fact that I have lost a Song CD which I have purchased from there.
The Summer Season has just started and temperature has started to shot up. 41 deg C was recorded in TVM few days Back. With no rain for last one month it is going to bit tough. I am wondering what will be the situation during the coming month when it is peak of the Summer.
Last week the Govt of India have Presented the Rail Budget and Union Budget. Rail Budget was a “Satisfy all” Type Budget with no Rise in Fare. It was record 7th time Budget presented without fare Hike. While analysing the Budget I could not understand the How the economic is been employed in the Railway budget .There are two Reasons: 1.The Budget have more Expense with less Income. 2. The amount for allocated for Safety is Much than previous years.
I could not understand how the minister is going to fund all project with less income. From the Budget analyse what I understood is majority of project will remain in paper. Another problem is In case a major accident (multiple No. Say 5 or 8 ) occurs then how will Railway compensate the killed and injured with less money for Safety .Well That could be a gamble the minister have taken thinking that no major accident will Happen.
Union Budget presented on Feb 26 was a Growth oriented. With Election only in Westbengal & Tamilnadu Coming up Where the Congress party is weak the FM was does not need to worry about the Vote Bank. So FM proposed a growth oriented budget. FM has proposed a partial role back of stimulus Package. FM has increased the Excise duty of Certain thing like Petroleum products, Cements, Car, Electronic items. With 300% inflation already this will lead to more Price rise. FM has changed the Tax Slab. Another Wonderful he has introduced the Service Charge for all service. Railway was earlier exempted from it. But now it was not declared so. In that case then the rail ticket price will increase by 10%. We have wait for More details in the Coming days
The Price rise for petroleum products has resulted in boycott by the opposition from the parliament during budget. This was first incident in the history of parliament. Other top story are bomb blast at Pune & Kabul, NATO launched the Strike against the Taliban , Vancouver Winter Olympics, Chile Earthquakes, etc.
In Sports top event was the Double Century by Sachin in 2nd ODI held at Gwalior. India Have Won the ODI series 2-1 against the South Africa. In Test India have drawn the Series to retain the world no. 1 Ranking.
Well The Post Seem to be bit longer. For the Time being I am Signing off. Hope change of Fortune will happen in march 2010.
