Flash back of 2018
What an year went by !!!!.
2018 will be remembered for the heavy rain in Kerala and things that happened for a century . Rainy period which continued for 3 month with a heavy flood of the century in August 2018 will be rembered for ever .
Flood also highlighted the quality and leadership of Kerala CM who is generally termed as stubborn . Flood have brought unity among people and helping nature even though some tried to be naughty and playful. Political parties worked together .fisherman community shown the value . They have came forward with their boat and taken risk to rescue the people during the flood. Different community , armed forces , charity organization , different religion , political parties came together in a coordinated manner to bring relief and resuce material to the needy.
Kerala CM shown extraordinary composure and leadership in time of disaster . He lead a team with minimum fuss and delivered a wonderful resuce and relief . He came on channel every 3 hour and provided update on the disaster status and assured the people of Kerala that govt was with them and we will over come it .
Flood is the time when people learned lot of lesson. Those built their land on flood prone area understood 2 floor is not sufficient . People understood how much u acquire the natural area of a river . River will come back and take back the acquired area and force of water will make it a natural flowing area .
We understood the importance of having a disaster management team in panachayt level and understood the need for dinki , torch , solar latern , pumps etc .
People also understood that boat and helicopter can't reach your house untill you inform them your coordinate based on latitude and longitude and not the house address and the locations .
It was nervous breaking and tense . For a century people will rember
