Post 21 - Dividing State a Good or Bad trend ?

Well as I write this blog the 29th state of India Telengana is formally born.The Telengana bill is being passed by both the houses of the parliament . It was actually a mistake from the P Chithambaram during his stint as Home minister created this huge issue which actually went out of control of Congress party & Central Govt . This was further complicated by sudden death of YSR in a helicopter crash followed by mismanagement by the Congress high command . High Command was ill advised by various lobby whom were against YSR. They advised not give succession plan to his Son . If they would have made the YSR 's Son or Wife as CM the situation in which congress currently is could have never occurred . Even the new State would not have being created . Instead high command was ill advised on succession plan . This Was followed by the mass protest by the Telengana action council literally stopping the hyderabad from functioning for days & months .
Then each political group played out their on part of strategy to create impression of Telengana / united andra. Now the question is whether the division good ? yes it is good for Seemandra Region but for Telengana it is not so good . Even though Hyderabad & Secunderbad which are the most developed part of AP have gone to Telengana rest of the telengana is not so developed . Those region lack road connectivity , industries and resources . They are also prone to Naxal related issue which could become a real challenge in coming years . While in Seemandra region have good connectivity . Cities like vijayawada , Vizag have good no of industries and are developing fast into two tier cities . however it will take time to have a cities as developed as hyderabad. The brand of Telengu will also get a hit .
whether the practice to split the state is good ?. it is not a good idea .More Demand to split the state based on various nature will come up . Conceding to such protest will result in developing bad pretend . British were able to conquer india since india was divide into no of small kingdom . strength of unity will be lost . Some have a view that having smaller state will result in better goverance , development and growth . To some extend it will help in growth & development but if the state does not have sufficient resource to pay the salary & fund for the project then from where do the development and growth will come . Jharkand ,Uttarkand etc are best example which struggle even though they have waste mineral resources. More over with smaller Assembly horse trading between political parties will also be problem.eg Goa
The Entire issue is a political agenda of a person or of a group for achieving some political ambition for a short period of time . With creation of 29th state lets hope the bandh and other problems the people was facing for last 2.5 yrs will come to an end . since it is a Election time no body will make a serious effort for seperate new state for next 3 to 4 month but after that i am sure some one in some region will start the issue for new state . Till then ... It is all Dusted and Settled .
