Estuary Island Resort Poovar - A Review
Estuary Resort Situated at Poovar some 34 kilometre from Trivandrum City. The resort is 3 Kilometre away from the poovar KSRTC Bus Stand. Best means to get there is either by own vehicle or taxi. Even if u r coming by own vehicle don’t worry there r sign board all along the road from Vizihinjam to poovar of all resorts also that of the Estuary Island resort. The resort is owned by Thomas hotels. All these sign board will not lead to front lobby of the Estuary. But to the Docking point of the Boat. Boat will be take u to Estuary Island.
It takes 15 -20minutes to reach the Estuary Island by Boat. I am sure all will enjoy the boating trip. The staffs of the estuary were friendlier, efficient and were very helpful. The Rooms are Elegant. Room have A/c, TV, Mini bar (please don’t take any items. Since it is costlier), shelf with one locker. Bathroom had everything but the design was not so good. The resort have facility like pool, Badminton court , beach football, Beach Volley ball, Table tennis, Health club , Ayurvedic Massaging centre. The draw back I have noticed is that most of facility are not cared & maintained properly. The Buffet dinner and lunch lag dishes. When considering the price for the lunch and dinner, both lag in no of dishes. However the complimentary Breakfast was excellent.
Overall I rate this Resort as Average one. There are lot of scope for improvement with respect to infrastructure & facility wise etc.
